Calcium Hypochlorite 

Bleaching powder chemical formula CaCl2 · Ca(ClO)2 · 2H2O, white powder substance, its composition varies with the preparation conditions, generally is calcium hypochlorite, calcium chloride and unreacted calcium hydroxide composition of hydration compound salt, its effective component is calcium hypochlorite. Bleached Chemicalbook powder has strong oxidation, corrosiveness and irritation. When encountering water, ethanol or inorganic acid, it can be decomposed, and when encountering water or inorganic acid, it can be decomposed into hypochlorous acid, which has strong oxidation, bleaching and sterilization properties. Therefore, the bleaching effect of bleaching powder is mainly based on the oxidation property of hypochlorous acid.
